Iconophili's Great Big Thread of Conspiracies!

The resting place of threads that were very valid in 2004, but not so much in 2024. Basically this is a giant historical archive.

One may download excellent High Res pictures of the Constitution (and Amendments), the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights here:
http://www.archives.gov/national-archiv ... loads.html

I have the last page of the Constitution (before Amendments) up right now. I don't see a seal. Where do you suggest it might be found?

Democracy isn't perfect, but it's alot better then living under a dictator or an unquestionable monarch.

And using poetic phrases is not the same thing as saying the name of the country is "E Pluribu Unum".

Dear Ebor,

Sorry, but the seal was affixed to every important document of the nation from 1782 onward. The seal at that time was the bald Eagle with 'E Pluribus Unum.'

You can download thousands of treaties and you won't see the seal, but it is afixed about 2000-3000 times a year on all sorts of US documents and has been since 1782. The Constitution was ratified later.

The name of the nation is the name on the Seal and has been referred to as such in many speeches over the years. The masons formed the US, the architecture and art of the capital is neopagan reflecting a secularist and syncretic masonic character. People communicate on many levels.

Democracy and secularism are not the hope of the world. In fact, they are part of the ongoing delusion.

Jesus Christ is the only hope for the world. Jesus Christ is Lord.

Again 444x4 is another way of saying 1776.

Yes, I'm clear on that concept. I can do the math. It's just numbers. It's just the way the multiplication works. I'm sorry, I don't see anything sinister in it, and you haven't explained how Stars/third apply.

The relationship is interesting . The nation born on that date happens to be the first to break with Christendom,

Break with "Christendom"? On what do you base that? Leaving the rule of a king? Suddenly all over the Colonies people were sacrificing chickens to trees? Sigh. Please support your assertions.

We live in a world filled with lying wonders

? We live in a Universe of true wonders: Stars, plants, creatures, physics etc etc. What are your "lying wonders"?

, and believe in our science and technology - and that we are somehow invincible.

Speak for yourself. There are plenty of people in this country, and on this planet who know they're not invincible. As to "believing" in science, Science is about what is, about how things work. Technology grows out of doing things with what we learn. You're using technology with your computer, your phone, your car etc.

You seem to see connections where they are ummm not so clear/non-existant to others.

You said the seal is on the Constitution. I have provided a link for Hi-res pictures of that document. Where is a "seal" in those pictures that you said was there, please? Do you see something that I don't?

The name of the nation is the name on the Seal and has been referred to as such in many speeches over the years.

Citations please? And there is such a thing as using poetic turns of phrase and rhetorical devices. Speeches aren't the same as a hardware manual or program documentation.

The masons formed the US, the architecture and art of the capital is neopagan reflecting a secularist and syncretic masonic character.

What masons? We've already been around the FF's were "masons". You have not supplied any supporting evidence that they were, while reliable sites have very few as being "masons". If you mean the Capitol Building, it's part of the "Neo-Classical" trend, what does that have to do with masons other then the working masons who built it? Sometimes a building is just a building. And how about all of the modern glass boxes? Not very "masonic", maybe.

Democracy and secularism are not the hope of the world. In fact, they are part of the ongoing delusion.

I'll take a society giving women and minorities a voice and a chance and some improvement over time in trying to treat other Human Beings better over any dictatorial monarch whose main interest is keeping himself in power.

Jesus Christ is Lord.

Indeed, He is. But you are making assertions of things that apparently have meaning to you without any supporting documentation or other voices. My apologies, but I do not see you as an authority on this matter.

Exactly! It's looking like an attempt on the part of 'city dwellers' to look down on those who aren't. :)

I wonder what word the city dwellers would have used for people who lived in small towns or suburbs and if they were somewhere between Christian and "Pagan"/Heathen.

(Better watch out, George, living in the country side and all.) :D

Dear Ebor,

"Speak for yourself."

I do and for no one else. If you want to learn more, read the Bible.

Jesus Christ is Lord.
Jesus Christ is the only true hope for the World.

A nation that destroys 3000 holy innocents each day in the mother's womb, that called fire down from heaven and named it "trinity", that blew up a city on the feast of the Transfiguration, that does not reverance God but rather formulates its laws and ordinances in accordance with its belly, that makes homosexuality a norm - will find out.

Just like physics, for every action, there is a reaction.

You want to live separate from God - accept the consequences.

Do you honestly believe that only the poor German Nazis and the poor Soviet Communists were the only people on the face of the globe who are subject to delusion? We are all subject to mass delusion. The Lord has given the nations a cup of delusion to drink.

Read the Bible, believe it as you would the laws of physics -- even more so. Jesus Christ is Lord.

I prefer Edward I of England as an example of a good monarch. There were some very good ones.

This nation's treatment of minorities has been awful. Minorities were better off at the turn of the 19th-20th century than in the 20th-21st in many respects. Look at all the wonderful black inventors for example during the late 1890s. And the statistics on normal families were far better for minorities in 1900 than 2000.

Many of the ancient saints and Church Fathers were African. St. Athanasius was dark skinned and red headed. Maybe people in ancient times didn't have big racial hangups like they do now.
