I have been away a couple days, and the thing that strikes me (and convicts me also - I am truly guilty), is that there is no way real people would speak to one another this way.

Which way in particular, please? Real people, for example, do ask for sources and support for claims. They also do correct errors that other people might make if they know the information. Such things may be done with at least a modicum of courtesy and without perjoratives.

Shouldn't we all stop back and be Christians in our conversation? Maybe we should pretend the person on the other end is 6'10" 250lb pure muscle, a champion boxer, and knows where we live.

How is acting as though one is in fear of violence from a bully who does not like to be disagreed with "Christian"? How is disagreeing with someone else's assertions or giving countering information not "Christian"?

Point 3: You make all sorts of statements about what the constitution does or does not provide for. It's not a particularly hard to read document, and it is widely available, so whether or not it is all the same to you, I prefer to exercise my own interpretive powers on it rather than trust to yours.

So I take it what your sasying is that: 1. The Constitution Allows The President to make "Executive Orders" even if Congress can function. 2. State and Local Governments CAN PASS Laws that are Contrary to the Constitution. 3. There's no such thing as Seperation Of Powers, 4. The Seperation of Church and State was not written in the 19th Century but it was written by the Founders Of U.S.A. 5. Federal Governmet can Interfear in Local/State Governments with out Them (State/Local Govs) breaking the Constitution. 6. The Government doesn't need a 3/4 MAJORITY VOTE to pass an "Amendment" thats what your saying by your statement, right????? :mrgreen:

Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am chief. My worst three enemies are one; "me", "myself" and "I." I need to learn to communicate with others in true christian love so "I" am no longer alone - "deliver us from the evil one." As "we" ask deliver "us", "I" rather suspect in this respect "I" am not alone. Notice how our Lord uses plurals and singulars throughout the Gospels?

Maybe Iconophili has some good points, and maybe CGW does too and we need to listen to one another and build one another up? All the Saints stated that as Christians we are profoundly ignorant. Only through real communication can we come to the fullness of truth.
