A four-months-old girl cured by John the Baptist’s right hand

Kiev, July 14, Interfax - A mother brought her four-months-old daughter named Dasha who suffered of congenial deafness to venerate the relics of John the Baptist, and the girl began to hear.

The miracle became apparent as they exited a church of the Laura of the Caves in Kiev where the relics were placed. A woman dropped a jar, and Dasha turned to her and cried, a Ukrainian issue of Komsomolskaya Pravda daily wrote Friday.

‘Dasha did not hear anything at all and did not respond to sounds, as she has congenial deafness. The physicians told me that she would be deaf all her life. And now here we are! I knew, I prayed! Only Christ knows how I prayed! My husband did not believe in curing and did not want me to go to the Laura,’ the woman said.

A monk of the Laura of the Caves in Kiev Varsonofy says there are people who pray for cure ardently and devoutly, ‘but are nagged by doubts.’ ‘Unless they cast these doubts away and firmly believe in God’s help, no grace will be bestowed upon them,’ he said.
