CHRIST IS RISEN!
To the members of the Forum,
It is truely sad to see people discussing Orthodox dogma and tradition and yet never start off with the most glorious salutation of CHRIST IS RISEN during this most sacred period.
This is the time to say it and nobody pays any mind to it. They just jump into their debates.
If you can't even make an effort to say it now during a peaceful time then how will you be able to confess it when the persecution begins? How many here have Orthodox friends or family and don't bother to greet each other with this holy salutation, but just say: Hi, how are you?
Personal sins are not the issue, but for the love of God(and I mean that literally), practice the faith in truth and not just in debates.
And before anybody starts accusations against me...I confess that 2 of my posts did not start with the holy salutation. It was due to my neglect but I went back to change them.
You all may think that I'm making a big deal about this...well, yeah...it is a big deal. It's Christ's Resurrection. And this is the time to actually say it.
I've said it to some Greek co-workers and they said: Thank you. How sad is that? Weren't they there at midnight when they gathered outside of the church? Didn't they hear the glorious salutation that is the meaning of our faith?
What are we striving for in life except to hear Christ's approval to accept us into His Holy Kingdom? What else do we have to live for?
In Christ, Joanna
