Orthodox calendar for next year

Post by searn77 »

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where to purchase an Orthodox calendar for next year for personal use, one similar to ROCOR-MP's St. Herman calendar which includes the saints of the day, the daily epistle and gospel readings, and fasting guidelines for each day? I know an online version could probably be found but I would prefer a print version and one produced by a True Orthodox synod.

Let us the faithful now come together to praise our father, protector and teacher the pillar of the Orthodox faith and firm defender of piety even the wondrous hierarch Philaret and let us glorify our Saviour Who has granted us his incorrupt relics as a manifest sign of his sanctity.

I have never seen a ROCOR,MP or St. Hermans calendar, but the best one we have found for ourselves is printed by the Holy Orthodox Metropolis of Boston (HOCNA), which we have used since 1997. We order ours from St. Nectarios Press in Seattle, WA., a websearch will land you to their site. Calendar is color coded/symbols for fast and fast-free days, daily saint commemoration, scripture readings, etc.

Is HOCNA the only Old Calendarist (non-ecumenist) jurisdiction who produces a liturgical calendar?

No, we produce a calendar. You can download it in English or Greek from our homepage.

Thank you so very much, Jonathan, for providing this link. This calendar made me do a double take, but now it all makes sense.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.
