Then how would I be able to drink it? I do like it and I have found it is one of those little things which helps me center, you know?

Thank you for mentioning this. It is all true. This is a prayer from the services for September 1st. I used it to wish everybody a Happy New Year for the civil new year. As most of us celebrate it these days.
I do find that one has to make resolutions, even to repent, although. I still like coffee.

Coffee -- the way God made it -- is organically grown without pesticides or genetic manipulations.

Well, it is not just political to make health claims or admonitions about coffee.
I have not had a coffee in 15 months. When I first became a Christian in my mid teens, I quit drinking any, partly because I saw how my parents "had" to have their coffee every morning and as a new zealous Believer, I read where Saint Paul says, "I will not be mastered by anything". I think that includes being addicted to, or developing a dependency upon, anything. Anyway, when I went to university all my Christian friends on campus kept saying, "Let's go for a coffee." Every time you meet up with someone to study or something at some point someone would say, "Let's go for a coffee." And so I felt I was being legalistic after a while. So I started to give in and go with them, and then slowly I got hooked and it got to the point where I couldn't quit. And if I did miss a day or two without it I would get withdrawal headaches. Even so, I was hooked from that time until last year. In all, about 18 years of slavery. I am sure I have spent upwards of $10,000 on coffee over that period of time. By the time I quit last year I was up to about 5 or 6 "Venti" sized cups a day. But last autumn, I started doing raw juicing and it was so yummy that I forgot about my coffee for a couple of days and I got such colossal headaches as I have never had before that I said, "That's it! I'm done with coffee. I don't ever want that cr*p in my system again." And so I have been free now for 15 months, and the smell of coffee when I go by starbucks is like a stench to me now, whereas before it was like a seductively beautiful aroma.
I recommend people kick coffee. (even though it is much loved on Mount Athos! 
)
