I have found that Chile is now selling olive oil in the grocery store. I am buying that since the Italian ones are so uncertain.

The Italian ones really are suspicious. I wouldn't consider even opening a bottle of any Italian brand.
Chilean ? That's good ! Maybe Mother Juliana could start an olive grove...? !
She has a Convent and Orphanage in Santiago, the capital, in case you did not hear of her.
Is the Chilean olive oil GOOD ? Remarkable.
I think we have to really search far and wide for nutritious and safe olive oils.

There are some good but expensive California olive oils. No doubt, you have olive groves not too far from you.
Northern California, especially Kelseyville, near the Monastery of St. Gregory of Sinai, has a lot of organic farmers too.
Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

I wonder if the monks there in Kelseyville have their own olive groves?

They used to, but with few monks, they could not continue to maintain the groves and press the oil.

Just catching up here.
That's too bad that the monks had to abandon that practice of oil pressing, if they were involved in it earlier.
It certainly is an ideal.
Yes, Maria, there ARE many groves up around Sonoma. Let me remember the name of my formerly favorite brand.
It begins with a B, I think ? I will look it up online.
