Last weekend I went on a kind of pilgrimage ((to one of the first churches established in Japan in Odawara, west of Tokyo) arranged by the Church of Japan for young Orthodox Christians throughout eastern Japan. I was the only Non-Japanese person there, which was a little alienating at times, but over all I had a very blessed time full of church services, camping, barbecues, and meeting some wonderful people. It was a great way to start the fast. Below are a few pictures.
