That makes sense. Refugees or migrants are going to be those most dissatisfied with the situation in their original country. If you're a hardline Muslim (at least of the Shia variety), Iran is like Paradise; why would you leave? So it's not surprising that I've never heard of Iranian immigrants causing trouble or getting involved in terrorist groups in the West. It's different for Muslims of other countries.
Also, all the jihadist groups I know of are Sunni and probably don't take kindly to Shia members. The only Shia terrorist group I know about is Lebanese Hizbollah and as far as I can tell they've kept their struggle strictly local. On the whole, Sunnis seem much more into worldwide jihad than Shias.
