I am familiar with all the explanations. I've also read Rosenthal's interview many years ago. I also read a writer who exposed the 13 bloodlines. I am aware of all that is happening. Your information is not new to me. What I was trying to help you understand is that the saints who expressed such views were in a different time than ours and we should remind ourselves that their lives were not the same as what we live in. It's not my opinion, it's the Orthodox perspective. I was where you were, 15 years ago. I was all fanatical about what was happening in the world. We must know the plans of the enemy! But, then I realized that I'm wasting my time worrying about what the evil one is planning. I should concentrate on my salvation which God will help me with despite whether I know the plans of the evil one. There were saints that lived in the desert who had no contact with what was happening in the world, but they still knew because they were in COMMUNION with God.

Basically, I think we are distracted by these concerns of the world so that we forget to repent. Instead, we feel this false obligation to know what's going on as if it's detrimental to our lives to be aware. But, what we should be aware of is our need to be in communion with God through repentance. I can't expect you to understand, at this point in your life, but maybe one day it will make sense to you.

I think you are right, Joasia. It seems Nadir needs an outlet for his point of view about The Jews. It is unfortunate he chooses this forum to do so. It seems an obsession with him that distracts him from needful things. Lord, have mercy on Nadir and on us all.

I guess that most probably, you are not even half of my age and then you address me, as I was an eighteen years old. Are you aware of that?

Age has nothing to do with it. Are you aware of that?? I was referring to the time line of experience. I was 32 when I realized what was necessary...that was 15 years ago. You are older than me, but you are just starting to figure it out. I know that you are older. In Orthodoxy, we don't look at the physical age, but the age of the soul and you aren't even born yet. By the standards of my baptism, I'm 19. You can be considered not conceived, in Spirit, yet. When you get baptised, God-willing, you will be younger than me, in soul age. Think about that. I bet the RC doesn't understand this reality of God.

In God's time, things are different.

An Orthodox Christian monk who is not truly repentant could have been a monk for 50 years, yet be a babe in the church. On the contrary, a young child of five who is very devout and still sees his guardian angel could be wiser than the monk of 50 years. Having read St. Seraphim of Sarov: A Spiritual Biography by Archimandrite Lazarus Moore, I am amazed at St. Seraphim's wisdom when he was a mere child.
