I'm not so sure these hackers are altruistic or benevolent. It was most likely another manufactured psy-op by the mavens of media. Most everything in the news is manufactured these days. Things are not just happening randomly, but the news headlines are carefully orchestrated and manufactured to manipulate and prepare the masses to accept their plans.
Take for instance this nonsense in the news lately about Cecil the lion. This was obviously orchestrated to come out in the media at this time for a specific purpose. It's about The Lion King (Prince Harry). Cecil (so they say) was killed on July 1, Princess Diana's birthday.

The Saviour raised up and showed His holy flesh like a temple, and he will raise a temple of stone in Jerusalem.
Notice the character Simba (The Lion King) from the Disney animation film The Lion King (1994), has red hair. His father Mufasa, is voiced by James Earl Jones. Jones is the most popular surname in Wales, as in Prince Henry of Wales, who is curiously enough, spending the summer in Africa trying to protect animals from illegal poachers, and also Henry "Indiana" (In-Diana) Jones.
Note that first there was Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), referring to the Ark of the Covenant. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) about the Temple of the Jews in Jerusalem, in which the Ark of the Covenant resided, followed by Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). What were the Crusades about? Religious wars to capture control of the Holy Land. The "Last" Crusade obviously refers to the final crusade or "Holy War," preparing the way for the journey of the Antichrist to Jerusalem. The Antichrist, King of the Romans, will come to Jerusalem, the city of David, and transfer his kingdom there.
Why ought we suppose the antagonist in this psy-op was given the name Walter Palmer? Walter means "ruler of the army". Palmer means a pilgrim (to the Holy Land) who bears a palm branch.
On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. ―John 12:12-13
It is not just a coincidence that Walter J. Palmer's dental practice, (which is being protested by phony actors to make for good TV coverage) is located on Rhode Island Ave.
Cecil the lion is named after Cecil John Rhodes, the British colonialist and imperialist, and Prime Minister of the Cape Colony in South Africa.
Bringing up Cecil (Rhodes) in the news is also tied into the Greek island of Rhodes, and the crusading military Order of the Knights of Saint John, who operated from Rhodes, after their conquest of the Holy Land.
None of these events are a mere coincidence. Greece constantly in the news at this particular time, Cecil the lion, connected to King Richard I "the Lionheart" of England and the Crusades.
It is also not a coincidence that they scheduled Obama and Prince Harry to both be in Africa this summer, while all this Cecil the lion business is going on.
The "mysterious" explosion underneath the beach in Rhode Island was also timed to occur at this time.
This is also all about their upcoming plans to deliberately perpetrate earthquakes and volcanoes in the Mediterranean and in East Africa. Greeks are called Hellenes, as in Mount St. Helens.

August 5, 1966 was the date of the groundbreaking ceremony for the World Trade Center. 5 August is considered by some to be the heliacal rising of the star Sirius, known as the "Dog Star". It is the brightest of the fixed stars. The Dog-Star, or Sirius, is the sign of Isis. The tears of Isis were said to flood the Nile.
