I read a comment by some slightly crazed woman who said that her hubby works with George, Amal's husband.
Who can say the truth ? But this rang true. The woman insisted shrilly that the marriage is nothing but a front.
All the gushy press coverage seems to be to mislead the public.
The poster said that before Amal, this George character was with all sorts of very low life women . So one can deduce that the marriage was to give credibility back to George.
He starred in a recent movie called Hail Caesar, I learned. The title perked up my ears. It is of course only about Hollywood, not about the greatness of Rome.
Probably this is symbolic. The actor is as empty as the plot. Maybe some skilful propagandists decided to transfigure, so to speak, him into a much more creative, interesting man than he really is by giving him a supposedly exotic, dashing bride.
Amal fits the model of "the New Independent Woman", being established in a career [ law ].
She is not a Muslim because that would be too risky after all the anti-Muslim campaigning to brainwash Americans who don't know any better.
Instead, she is conveniently a Druze. No one in America has the faintest clue what a Druze is.
I actually went and stayed in a Druze village on the border of Lebanon years ago and ran across some Druze when traveling. They live to this day on Mt Carmel. I am familiar with the Druze, therefore, but hardly anyone else would have a clue. Very safe, therefore, to give a Druze a starring role in a big publicity splash for this George character.

Afterthought : there also could be a secret campaign to try to break down cultural barriers by having a Western man marry a woman of Arab race. Perhaps this is part of the Illuminati overall plan, too. They already promote interracial marriage heavily. This is just a new twist on that theme.
