Yeah it's very ironic. He will debate low IQ and obnoxius, even some impatient and abit heated, Black Hebrew I$raelites, Gnostics, and Sedevacantists (He's also had multiple OOs on before to so he never avoids them) for 30 plus minutes but won't debate TO because they are to 'spergy' and have 'low numbers' despite we dont and have more Numbers then any of these Groups and maybe even combined. If it's a Question it's "not the topic" or he will kick the person and answer the question and move on or generally just avoid them coming into the Space.

At this point though True Orthodoxy is growing more and more in presence and even some of the Patriarchate Apologists can't avoid it and have started addressing our Presence and Position more in recent few years. Albeit usually poorly. I think the best bet in the future would be having good and well mannered discussions and debates with some of their lower circle and niche semi popular figures in their Sphere (At least for Global Orthodoxy) like Orthodox Luigi, Seraphim Hamilton, David Patrick Harry, and Andrew Wilson for example (He had Bishop Maximos of GOC Kallinikos on) as we know Jay and Erhan won't do public debates contra TO, at least for now. Perhaps going on some Papist Channels would help grow the Faith and expose the Faith more as well and could be beneficial like Erick Ybarra knows of us and said an Apologetic using us as more consistent then Global Orthodox on Michael Lofton's Show and GOs reacted to it and shared it around, was kinda funny.

This is basically the plan I try to adhere to and one I suggest for all TO online apologists, presenters, etc. endorse.

And could you explain more how you view Orthodox Luigi ? His account used to show up all the time unbidden.

Who is Erhan, by the way ?

A young protégé of Jay Dyer. Erhan is a Turk of secular Islamic background who as he explained it, got involved with online white nationalism where he got into contact with Russian/other Eastern European nationalists and in that way learned about Orthodoxy, or at least I should say World “Orthodoxy.” I think he said he was living in Germany at the time--at least that's how I remember it. He made a Youtube account called “The Real Med White” which he later changed to his real name, long after he drifted out of white nationalism.

Dyer trained him up and he started making apologetic videos for World Orthodoxy in that particular Dyerite style. As a Turk and a member of the EP he holds to the party line. He considers heresy in the hierarchy to be the personal business of the hierarchs and not something that the laity should shun them for, and openly calls the Russian catacomb saints schismatics.

His presence in Dyer's circle has long been an enigma. On the one hand Dyer claims that the EP is not in communion with the MP and he effectively washes his hands of their heresies, treating them like schismatics when it suits him. Yet he has EP people like Erhan in his orbit, and accepts them as and when it suits him. Schrödinger's cat but with schism.

I keep running into Turks who say they have converted to Christianity but somehow i don't believe them.
Or, perhaps it's a fad going on, I'd like to find out what is behind this.

Usually I see them commenting on Gregorian Chant videos or places like that, since i don't look at other Orthodox sites - just this one.

Does Erhan have a last name or he just goes by that name ?

He sounds too superficial in his understanding of the complexities of the Orthodox world. He already moved from the white nationalism scene to the Orthodox one, so maybe if someone contacts him and explains some of the problems with Jay Dyer-brand of pseudo-Orthodoxy, he would switch again to a more correct approach ?

That's why these threads are really GOOD : they can attract attention of people who might talk to him and identify some of the problems with these internet personalities claiming they represent Orthodoxy when they obviously DON'T !

What about Orthodox Luigi ? It helps me a lot to get a more experienced viewpoint on this type of poster on twitter. The other names you mentioned i have never come across, that's why i seized on Orthodox Luigi.
Do you think that is that his real picture, too ?
