I had felt skeptical about that assertion from the start. Didn't make sense at ALL.
Sven Hedin was a famous Swedish explorer of the Taklamakan Desert and Central Asia. I used to read a lot about his expeditions.
Whereas Erika's grandfather was not anything on the same order to merit a knighthood, at least by Old World standards.
