In short answer to sojourning_one, yes some/many Orthodox Jews write “G-d” out of reverence for God. Traditionally all Jews and all Christians had a special reverence for God’s name, in both meanings, created name and divine power. It is in the Ten Commandments not to treat His name with disrespect. The sarcasm about finger-worshipping above is the type of irreverence that is forbidden. Venerating God’s name is throughout Scripture, liturgy, saints’ writings, and saints’ lives. In short answer to Jean-Serge, there is a Theophany prayer worshiping the name of Jesus along with the Father and Spirit. So, the name of Jesus can mean the person of God the Son

Making league with the Talmudists is not a good look

Since you have access to the HOCNA documents, could you make public all publich statements made by HOCNA on the name-worshipping issue (either on the Internet or not) from the visit of Gregorie Lurie to HOCNA to nowadays so that we can see how the position evolved and/or was precised along years?

Please see the HOCNA texts quoted above in this thread in my posting of April 1 2025, including in the message, and in the attached 50 page PDF document, and see the footnotes and URLs in that document for links to full documents. Go also to the “Name of God” section at HOMB.org and thewonderfulname.info
