Do we have any Russian speakers on here ?
Sava B. knows a little bit, but if anyone else does enough to understand this, what is Putin saying here to the chief rabbi ?

A VERY touching story. I had no idea Putin grew up in such difficulty.
But I saw one of those communal apartments in St Petersburg myself ; my hostess there insisted on showing me after taking me to my requested St John of Kronstadt [St John of Rila] Church and St Xenia burial chapel.

The flat had belonged to a ballerina at the nearby Mariinsky Ballet. She used to practice in her toe shoes down a long narrow corridor with many rooms off to the side. I can still see the scene now.

But THEN the Revolution happened. The ballerina who had lived there by herself was gone, probably to exile in Paris.

Every one of those rooms became occupied by an entire family, just as Putin describes in this clip how he grew up. It was the typical way for everyone.

There was one tiny alcove with an old stove and a battered sink. That was the kitchen for ALL the families. They had a schedule to take turns cooking.

I don't even remember seeing a bathtub or any such, but perhaps there was something rudimentary.

It was clearly incredibly uncomfortable living conditions, to say the least. That flat made a lasting impression on me.

I have seen comments like this previously, too.

I would really like to know : what is the matter with the Germans of this era ? WHY are they so idiotic and honestly, evil ?

"Maybe future generations will understand the colossal gift Germany threw away with Vladimir Putin.

A Russian leader who lived in Dresden for years, speaks German, whose daughter was born in Saxony, and who repeatedly offered genuine partnership and friendship to the German people.

Around the turn of the millennium, there was a real chance to combine Russian resources with German engineering and build a powerful, nearly untouchable alliance stretching from Vladivostok to Lisbon.

Instead, short-sighted and corrupt German politicians sabotaged it all, aligning themselves with those who would rather see Germany and Russia locked in a devastating conflict.

What could have been a historic partnership was tossed aside for political expediency, and the consequences are still unfolding.

Here is the historic speech the Russian president delivered in German to the Bundestag on September 25, 2001, directly addressing the German people,a moment that, had it been seized, would have changed everything."

That is only a brief clip of Putin and the rabbis on X, that is cut off, not the entire conversation.

Here is a link to a transcript on the official Kremlin website...
http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/79056

...where you can see the rabbi Lazar promoting their deceased Lubavitcher Rebbe (Menachem Mendel Schneerson), their "Moshiach" (false messiah)

Image

...and Putin the ecumenist heretic promoting perennialism or universalism, or what have you:

Vladimir Putin: "You have just mentioned the peace and harmony that exist among representatives of different faiths in Russia, and I must say that this is, above all, the result of the shared historical and religious culture of the peoples of Russia."

Christianity does not share the same culture or values as other religions, as Putin would have us believe.

Vladimir Putin: "Still, you mentioned what you called eternal values – and, by and large, they are universal."

Barbara, none of us are holy and clairvoyant elders or eldresses, and a casual glance at a photo or video of someone's eyes or how they seemingly appear to conduct themselves at a public ceremony is not the sole criterion for determining whether someone is necessarily moral and righteous, or Orthodox.

So, it doesn't really matter how Putin's eyes appear to you. Determining whether or not someone is pious and moral, simply from a glance at their eyes of a brief clip of them in public, is obviously not anywhere close to 100% reliable. One has to take other indisputable facts into account.

The public words, deeds, and actions are what define whether they are genuinely men of God, or not.

Putin is an obvious atheist-satanist, who persecutes the True Orthodox, whilst promoting the pseudo-Orthodox (Soviet MP). Putin is a Judaizer, a religious syncretist, and a fratricidal communist war-monger, who publicly venerates the Koran and dedicates mosques.

Ho Chi Minh was a terrible mass-murdering communist revolutionary, and Putin, in June 2024, honored him with flowers!

President #Putin laid flowers at Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum in Hanoi, #Vietnam

Putin sometimes wears Masonic hammer and sickle and red star pins, signs of Antichrist, on his person. The forces under his command, have been documented brandishing and hoisting Soviet-style flags when they conquer Ukrainian cities.

Why doesn't Putin call for the communist red stars above the Kremlin to be taken down? Because he's not a Christian, but an enemy of God.

Are you seriously wanting us to think that none of these facts matter, but all we have to do is look at a photo of his eyes, to see how moral and righteous he supposedly is?

Laughing ! Thank you, Cyprian for your shrewd observations.
About his eyes, I meant that one can SEE into his soul [ but of course only partly, so ] In that one clip, he appears vulnerable and much more soul-ful that I ever had expected. I thought he was unemotional, distant, kind of Soviet.

Anyway, he looked so serious and sorrowful that I was hoping he was going to announce in this clip here that Chabad is now demoted to a fringe cult, which is EXACTLY what it IS indeed !

Thank you for finding the transcript. I'll have to look at that at the library. That was VERY nice of you.

Well I was going to say that if he would do even just A FEW THINGS, it would improve life in Russia immensely.

Yeah, the red stars on the Kremlin towers which drive me crazy, should be changed bac to the imperial double headed eagles ! I posted about that years ago here, too.

Then the removal of the Halloween mausoleum of The Unmentionable which SO mars Red Square ! So many demons would be forced to leave if the little complex were demolished that residents and visitors BOTH would feel so much happier strolling around the otherwise beautiful Red Square !!

Clergy could then do ceremonies [it would take SO MANY but worth the trouble ] to remove the evil spirits which congregated in and around that location for over 100 years now ! TOC clergy could quietly go there too and perform exorcisms.

Yes, TOCs need to be treated well, instead of persecuted like ROAC has been. ROAC churches should be restored to them and everybody get along ! It's wrong that Chabad is allowed to operate but a Russian Orthodox jurisdiction is barely tolerated !

However, THE LESS LDS activity in Russia, the BETTER ! I hope the LDS "church" is BANNED permanently there ! Same with all the weird Protestant proselytizing groups.

However, Cyprian, you don't understand about the Muslims. They deserve to be there ; after the Tatars and all the other Muslims were living in their locations for ages.

Russia should be example for the West in having done a good job of treating the Muslim population relatively well.

Unlike France, for example, where there is intense religious and cultural prejudice against Muslims, who are mostly North Africans from the French colonial period.

Same in the U.S. Christians and others here are unreasonably biased against Muslims due to lack of familiarity and also lack of a sense of any world existing outside the U.S.A.

Now under the Soviets [and I did study this subject quite a bit] Muslims were suppressed. It was like the Russian Church under Sergius : just a big front run by KGB agents. So the same for the 4 Muslim Spiritual Directorates.

But since the time of the Russian Federation, Muslims are allowed to pray, live their lives - and they DO ! This is a separate subject, but Putin is doing the RIGHT thing to show respect to Muslims. They are, I think, 15 % of the population. That is significant.

If YOU were the Russian Leader, you would probably do likewise. It's easy to criticize from afar...

Speaking of Putin and Europe, a very true remark :

"Putin: "After the collapse of the Soviet Union, it seemed to us that we would quickly become members of the so-called civilized family of European nations."

"Today it turns out that there is no civilization there, only complete degeneracy."
