Barbara, anyone who attacks and disparages a man of God like Hieromonk Seraphim (+1982) on the one hand, while promoting and defending Putin, a manifest enemy of God, on the other, is obviously in serious spiritual delusion. God help you.

You are prideful and stubborn, so there is little point in me trying to reason with you any longer. I leave you to your own devices, and will not waste any more time debating Putin with you.

It's really a shame that there aren't a great many people on this forum rebuking you for your ill-advised admiration for Putin. Perhaps if ten or twenty others cared enough to tell you how senseless and irrational you are being, there might be a possibility of convincing you to amend your opinion for the better.

In any case, as long as you admire Putin, I cannot regard you as a true Orthodox Christian, and I genuinely fear for your soul.

I had always heard about this speech but it's the 1st time I have actually seen a version.
You know, Cyprian, Putin is a VERY EFFECTIVE, FORCEFUL SPEAKER ! Even you have to admit THAT !

2nd, I remembered anyway how he USED TO use the term "our American partners" in that era.

There is one example in the speech
In another place he says "our American friends"

He REALLY TRIED to cooperate with Europe in every field, one can see, but especially on arms control and disarmament.

What I don't understand exactly is how and why the Europeans brushed off these efforts so rudely. I'd like to study that part more.

Well, I learned a few Russian words -- or, let's say, figured out what certain words that I hear often in Akathists and other prayers -- what they actually mean.

Very productive video. One can see toward the end how Angela Merkel narrows her eyes watching Putin. And she was probably nowhere near as hostile as this present Chancellor Merz !
