Schultz,
YEah, that's the way to go. The filed reports of such activities simply don't match up with your story. An examination of archives of the New York Post, which would fall over itself for such stories, simply doesn't coincide with your stories. I'm not doubting that you heard them, I'm doubting the source who told you such things. Sensationalism doesn't just occur in the newspaper.
And is everything found really reported in official reports? That is why my friend told me, cause this is a more hush hush situation that people don't talk about..because of the skeptism. Who would want to openly admit this...they would be considered nut cases.
Then again, who would ACTUALLY believe that people can be possessed by demons...THAT really sounds nuts...right?
My point is that, there are things that happen which are not always revealed to the public. Like the fact, that subways stop in the middle of tracks because a person just committed suicide. Do we see that in the papers? If we did, it would be in the papers EVERY DAY. But, I know that only because I have a friend who works for the subway. Again, another unreliable source to you. So be it.
Just forget what I said. If you don't care to believe, that's fine by me...but I'm not making it up. But, hey, in a world where so many people don't even believe that Jesus Christ is our Saviour and is God...well then, I'm not surprised to anyone doubting anything anyone says. Especially, of what I may say.
Can we just leave it as a basic commentary. No agruements need to be pursued. Okay?
CGW,
I doubt that you are a moron, but the history of these discussions demonstrates that you are not exercising your powers of judgement effectively.
Well, that explains your confused responses. You thought you were talking to a protestant, perhaps?
Most people here know that I am an Orthodox Christian, converted from Catholic. I haven't read all the books in the world about theology. That's my lack of knowledge, okay? That's why I like to know what people are, so that I can understand their comments. When I started here, I thought everybody that wrote were Orthodox, cradle or converted. Now I know better. What I read from your comments, you are an Anglican? Me a mormon?
at the same time, our criticism of our opponents is tainted by the sin of having to win.
Hence, the reason I sensed your need to battle. I didn't come here to battle with the wits of my "opponents". I came here to share with others. Since it is an Orthodox board, I hoped to learn more from other Orthodox people, no offense to the non-Orthodox, but why should I apologize for being Orthodox.
What is the Orthodox Christian view of witchcraft, CGW? Do you have any thoughts on that?
"do you have a conscience?" remark is utterly out of line,
I was referring to your bashing. As to my self-righteousness...that was not my meaning.
I only want to persuade you that you need to change your attitude towards the kind of stories and claims that you pass along from others.
I also have "claims" of friends who had relatives possessed by demons, but I guess, in your book of what can be said or not...it would be too fantastical. And I guess we can ignore the parts of the Bible that talk about satan too, right? But, you don't know me, so of course, you have every right to doubt what I say.
CGW,
Is witchcraft and paganism acceptable by God the Father of the Holy Trinity?
A simple yes or no will suffice.
This is all I was stating. Let's leave it to my personal opinion. I guess I read too many writings of saints about demons.
One more question CGW, do YOU believe that satan and the demons are real?
