July 4 Virgin honored in Roman Catholic Churches

Post by Barbara »

Ew. The sight is nearly repulsive. It does NOT remotely LOOK like the Blessed Virgin, but some
American housewife from earlier decades.
Then that flag looks horrible as a cloak. All Catholic depictions show Her as wearing a light blue mantle and white gown.
What is all this secular symbolism with the red stripes ?

It is in the poorest taste.

Then, too, why would Catholics ever believe that She is proud of America ?

Not one authorized Apparition has EVER mentioned America in any form.
I know because I studied these avidly for years.

At Garabandal, an unauthorized Apparition in the north of Spain, She never once breathed a word about the U.S.
in any form ! Yet there was abundant opportunity to do so. 3 out of 4 of the young girls who said they saw Her DID
emigrate to the U.S. But they also had said that this was simply because they wanted to ; not because of any suggestion
from Her many words to them.

So why would Catholic Americans be so blind as to imagine She was proud of this country with its totally decadent
society. Even Catholic universities - no longer even considered Catholic by many more conservative Catholics -
fully taking part in the acceptance of, and sometimes even promotion of, such degredation.

Notice that in Catholic history, She came to FRANCE, many times, yo Portugal. but not to Protestant-dominated America once.
What should that say to Catholics, if they cared to think about the ramifications ?

What a dreadful picture indeed.
