Pope assures atheists, "Faith Unnecessary to go to Heaven"

Pope Francis assures atheists: You don’t have to believe in God to go to heaven

In comments likely to enhance his progressive reputation, Pope Francis has written a long, open letter to the founder of La Repubblica newspaper, Eugenio Scalfari, stating that non-believers would be forgiven by God if they followed their consciences.

Lord have mercy.

Perhaps that prophecy is correct that this Pope of Rome will be the last one.
The heresies spouted by the Papacy seem to be getting worse day by day.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me a sinner.

The more this pope opens his unsober mouth, the more I am convinced that he will undermine what little faith is left in Roman Catholicism.
I hope and pray that devout Roman Catholics will become Orthodox Christians before it is too late.

Oh, please! Poor Francis the Talking Mule! I loved that movie as a child. I think it is too much to drag his name down to the infernal level of Pope Francis. :D

 Thanks for the laugh, Maria.
I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps his mealy mouth will drive more and more Roman Catholics away and into the waiting arms of True Orthodoxy! Glory be to God for all things.

I have never heard of that movie, hence didn't get the joke.

But it is almost devastating to see and hear what Pope Francis [hard to even write that !] is saying.

There was a writeup I happened upon yesterday about his pectoral cross being completely un-religious [my interpretation, not the article's].
Then a terrifying thing about this Archangel Michael statue in a garden of the Vatican by this Pope
and Pope Benedict XVI. The most tasteless creation, very scary that the Archangel supposed to defend the Church
is depicted like a young Apollo, or maybe worse, a Narcissus, the youth who gazed adoringly at his own reflection.
I am sure we will find more people like Nadir GP inquiring....
