My car has for I think the third time this week broke down. I am now thinking that it may be the Alternator or Starter. I have already replaced the battary and manifold, as well as a slew of other parts. I really need the car to find employment, as nothing is available in town. Please pray that I find a job soon and that my car gets fixed without costing too much money.

Joe, most auto parts stores, even in big cities will test your battery and alternator for free. Test them both and pray that it is only the battery!
they now think it is the gas filter.
If it was the battery I'm gunna be upset as its the second Battary I've put in there.

we got a great mechanic. he's an old family friend and a veteran to boot. I'm just afraid the problem is gunna take more money to fix than I have.
Oh that reminds me time to call the mechanic.

Hey Joe, if you have a GM car be sure to ask the mechanic about the exciter wire.
I had a Pontiac one time that kept dying, and I replaced the alternator and the battery and it still died. It turned out to be a $15.00 problem on which I had squandered hundreds! :ohvey:
