Online resource for the Alutiiq (Aleut) language

Post by SavaBeljovic »

Dearest brothers and sisters,

Our dearest brother, Subdeacon Tikhon Fread, sent me the Alutiiq museum's website which has a lot of resources on the Alutiiq museum, particularly the Kodiak Alutiit'stun and Sugt'stun dialects (the language St. Peter the Aleut spoke). There's excellent resources on here including phonetic comparisons, lexicons, research papers, historical documents etc.

It appears there is everything on here to at least learn the language on a conversational level. Having used the resources on this website for a few days, one thing that really strikes me is how connected the Alutiiq language is to Orthodoxy.
