We all want unity - who could not want that? However, this is unrepentant Sergianism, no regrets, everything justified, no mention of how Sergius was confronted with the inevitable consequences of his decision and refused to turn back. It's not like he wasn't warned and exhorted by the leading clerics of the Church. In short, this sort of attitude is the worst fear of so called "zealots" and indicates there is no grounds for a legitimate unity between the Church Abroad and the current Moscow Patriarchate.
