Those people drive me nuts.
Take a Monkey, have them type 1 character per second on a keyboard with 54 characters (26 letters, upper and lower case, space and .) and it will take more universes than there have been seconds in the universe to get the phrase "Mary had a little lamb." (5423 power seconds = 7x1039 seconds = 2x1032 Years)
So Darwin comes along and feeds the monkey a bannana, and all of a sudden, in no time one could get "Mary had a little lamb" - well theoretically at least.
The problem is, one needs intelligence in order to know to reward that which leads to intelligence. An intelligent outcome mathematically requires an intelligent process or set of intelligent processes.
Otherwise, bacteria, the cockroach, or some other successful lower form of life would prevail on the Earth. The universe must be at least as intelligent as man - as a whole - and in fact far more intelligent because we can't come close to making a cell, or a protein from scratch atoms.
No set of random processes can lead to intelligence. So the Universe has an intelligent first cause - because intelligence must have begotten a Universe that has intelligent life forms. This has been known by anyone who has studied mathematics for the last 7000 years.
If one studies the limitations of science and what is known and knowable mathematically, then these things are obvious quickly. If one doesn't, they are not true professionals and true to their supposed craft.
Dawkins and Co complain that others have intruded into Biology, but the fact is when they stated that minor variations with preference can lead to intelligent life, they were saying something mathematical that has no foundation. In fact, all the formal proofs point to the opposite conclusion. Many formal math proofs pose hard physical limits.
All one has to do to mask intelligence is to form a one-time random process on top of the intelligent pattern. This is what forms the basis of the unbreakable code called a one-time keypad. The Universe is a one-time keypad of sorts, meaning that we cannot know God in essence through nature as sufficient seeming randomness is placed on the intelligence of physical laws to completely obscure the essential message - unless God reveals Himself to us. This is what He did in a manger.
