Feminist Perspective on Saint Gregory of Nyssa?

Post by Olympiada »

Greetings Euphrosynos Cafe,
I am having a discussion in another group about the disengagedness of heart mentioned in the Preface to On Virginity by Saint Gregory of Nyssa. It has led me to wonder if there is any feminist scholarship on Saint Gregory of Nyssa? I am also fishing in another discussion community for answers so I am sorry if this is a repeat for some of you.

Why would St. Gregory of Nyssa writing about "disengagedness of heart" (if the preface is correct) prompt you to ask if there has been any "feminist scholarship" (whatever that is) on him?
