Informations about ROAC parishes in Russia

Post by Лука »

Dear friends,
I would like to have more informations about the life of ROAC parishes in Russia and especially in Ukraine:

  • are there parishes in Kiev ?
  • is there in internet a list of ROAC parishes in Russia and Ukraine (plz , send me a link about ... )
  • what's the number of ROAC parishes and priests in Russia and Ukraine ?

I'm sorry for the many questions but I would like to have more informations about ROAC in Holy 'Rus ... also becouse I'm used to travel often in our marvellous Pravoslavnaja 'Rus.

Thank you to everyone who will help me, asking for your prayers

ROAC has parishes in Ukraine. A directory of parishes doesn't exist (although there are 300 parishes or more, only in Russia) due to the persecution and because more than the half of them are Catacomb parishes and they don't want to be listed. I think that most of the ROAC parishes in Ukraine are Catacom parishes and they have two bishops, Ilarion and Geronty.

I suggest to you that you communicates to know more with Bishop Andrei of Pavloskoe, he lives in America, also now Metropolitan Valentine is visiting America; maybe both of them could give you more information about the adress of parishes in Russia and Ukraine.

Bless Father!
Thank you for your answer. I know that ROAC in Russia is suffering many persecutions : some churches have been vandalized and also members of clergy have been beaten and assaulted . What's the situation in Ukraine ? Has Roac in Ukraine the same difficulties ? Are there the same persecutions ?
