The Holy Grail

Post by ANGELA »

Goodevening everyone or good morning!

Would somebody be able to tell me something about the Holy Grail and if it exists? Is it the Holy Communion cup that Christ used?

Many thanks
God Bless

Dear Angela,

In the first accounts the "Graal" was a diamond like stone that fell off Lucifer's brow in his fall from Heaven and not a cup at all. The whole "Grail" mythos of the Western middle ages is full of thinly disguised paganism and Gnosticism. However the actual King Arthur was a zealot for Orthodox piety and fought aganist the pagan saxon's invasion of Christian Britian.

Theophan.

I've read that the Holy Grail refers to Christ, the Cup of eternal Life which is Holy Communion, because living without His Holy Body and Blood, which He offered us, is ultimate death.

And it can also refer to the Theotokos. There is an icon of her named the Eternal Cup, isn't there? Her body was prepared to receive God and so she was prepared to be the holiest of all creation.

But, the protestants focus on the actual cup. Such simpeltons. And that is why we are bombarded by these lies of the teachings of the Holy Grail.

Joanna

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)

Excuse me? What was that I read in another post of yours about working on being humble?

Just pointing out the obvious. If you were Orthodox, you'd understand.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)

Tom? Is that you AGAIN!!! Don't you have something else to do? Maybe you should look up this word HUMBLE, and reflect upon it. You dont even know Joanna personally, so why the ironic statement?

Being humble is something a lot of people try to achieve. But perhaps you have already achieved this?
