Who's gonna leave??!!!

Post by scwaterfowl »

Since the two parts of the same Russian Church will be concelebrating in a few short months, and there are those who have vehemently opposed this God pleasing action, I'm wondering what they will do.
I remember the pompous morons that threatened to leave the US if George W was re-elected; unfortunately, none of them did.
So...
If you are ROCOR and oppose this union, what will you do?? Please let us know now; that is, of course, if you're not a coward. Barring some unforeseen event, its gonna happen, so the way I see it, they can get contrite or pack their things and leave immediately.
:P

Makin it up as you go along, Theophan? What canon exactly says that you should abandon your Church if you think that it might, possibly, maybe, potentially have relations with a Church that might still be apostate, years and years down the road? What Father did this? None. But you are mind-readers apparently, or prophets. You must be, with the certitude that you have. Your Saint, Symeon the New Theologian, said that the "unforgiveable sin" was in attacking that which was the work of God. I suppose he said this as a defense of his own ministry from criticisms by others, but if he's right, you'd better be very careful. If you're wrong and Symeone's right, you not only made the wrong decision, but you'll be on your way to hell. Not that I believe in hell, but you do I expect, and NONE of this is about truth, it's about your beliefs.

I never said that I could read minds or was a prophet, however it was clear that with the Sobor of 2000 those who took power in ROCOR decided to move it towards World Orthodoxy and the Moscow Patriarchate which is why Met Vitaly and others fled. Of course they needed time to convince the "plebs" of the wisdom of course, or that indeed there had never been a change of course. Its like someone kills your father and than disguises himself as your dad and starts issuing orders to the family to get them ready to persuade them to commit suicide- wouldnt you flee such a person. Pardon the graphicness of the analogy.

Look Met Vitaly had issued a ukaz forbidding concelebration with the Serbian ecumenists and than they went and begged the fallen away Serbs for recognition. Anyway someone in the Orthodox remanent of ROCOR can explain the situation better, I am not a member of them, but a member of one of their sister Churches.

Justin why do you not believe in hell? Look God is Love, and Love involves freedom which contains the ability to reject love? What is hell ultimately but the final rejection of God's unending Love?

Theophan.

Fled???? Just what words of wisdom did you get from a man suffering from Alzheimers that had been kidnapped??
Look; if we're going to debate this issue, let's at least both agree to be in the real world.

Thats a lie- and their are doctor's reports to prove it. Infact one of the best friends of a friend of mine was Met Vitaly's novice in Mansonville. If he was able to instruct and keep a novice under obediance he wasnt that senile. However I doubt anything I am able to type will break you away from the lies you have choosen to believe. Just remember what Blessed Averky talked about. Read his analyisis of apostasy and tremble knowing that many of those responsible for the death of ROCOR were his students.

Its later than you think!

Fowl,

Yes, let's agree that you are not part of the situation happening in ROCOR. So why don't you just go along your way. You are not part of the real world of the struggles of ROCOR. You have no place in our lives.

All you do is spew lies. So go along your way, little man or little woman or whatever you are.

God-pleasing action?? You are either naive or an MP propagandist.

We are not fools, Fowl thing.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. (Ps. 50)
