LOL! Secret Agenda???

Post by timothyvargas »

I just read that Nun Xenia was banned for saying she was "not a name-worshipper"? She has explained her case very well, supplied numerous quotes and works for everyone to find for themselves. Its too bad there are those who would rather continue to spread gossip, slander and bear false witness agaist those whom they do not agree with. I must admit, I did see this "rail-roading" early on, when Jonathan split the thread so as to seperate all relevant sources. Its an old trick I have seen on other forums to confuse the members and not allow all sides to explain their sides accordingly. Perhaps this will be the example used to correct such unfair Forum administrative practices in the future. On that note, I will no longer participate herej as a matter of principle.

Praying all of you have a wonderful Nativity! Many Years!!!

Nun Xenia is a well known name-worshiper, though she does not call herself that. The name-worshipers never called themselves by this name. They call themselves "name-glorifiers", "glorifiers of the name", etc. She has written several things about this heresy, and her position is well known. I get confused very easily, since I rely more on reason and cleverness than on faith, and so I can attest that to even listen to the arguments of heretics is very dangerous. The group she is with is not Orthodox, and is rejected by everyone. They call themselves the ROAC, but this is ridiculous, and they are not taken very seriously in Russia. They are known, however, for being clever, and people are easily confused by their arguments when they are not well schooled in theology.

So it is difficult to see what business they would have here, except to do the same things they do elsewhere, which is try to confuse the faithful and disseminate their heresy, which has been condemned numerous times. They know the arguments and have been admonished sufficiently by their Hierarchs. Yet, they persist in their heresy, and use it to justify their schism. "A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself."(Titus 3:10-11)

This is a True Orthodox forum, so we don't tolerate posters promoting any universally acknowledged heresies, and we include Ecumenism and Sergianism in this. "Imyaslavie" comes under this umbrella, although at first I was not absolutely sure about it.

I had doubts about Nun Xenia's views when she wouldn't respond to direct questions, but suggested a book, thinking that I had no knowledge of it. When I told her I have that exact book and wanted her to indicate what parts supported her view, she signed off. I still don't see how a nun should have such liberties to websites when she's suppose to be in a convent and living her life for Christ. It just didn't seem right to me.

Dear Ephrem,

You are right completely about the Louriete Gruop, they are nor in ROAC, they use for calling themselves " Bishopric Conference of ROAC" or so, but they have nor anything to do with ROAC or any TOC gruop, they have only a active "Bishop", Grigory Lurye a deposed clergy by ROAC, the other two "bishops" Sebastian and Amvrosy are deposed by ROAC too, both of them have nor parishes, flock or clergymen, only Lurye have a only one parish in St Petersburg, his "Cathedral", which was his former ROAC Parish, beside they have some friends in power or high place, that is all.

As for the "imyabozhestvo" heresy and other heresies in this group, I am not sure if they believe them really or they are just an excuse to provoke disorder and division within the True Orthodoxy. Anyway, they are a very dangerous gruop. They have had much to do in almost every problem in ROAC.

Very interesting point. I called her on the "name-worshiping" which she denied...but that was quite sneaking, since I didn't know about the name-glorifying. Good lesson.

Thanks

As far as I know, the "Louriete Gruop" is a group of (former) KGB servants and agents. They try to establish themselves in true orthodoxy to destroy it from the inside.

What's about it? Does anyone know anything more about it?
